“Miss Opium” is a personal expression of how the current opioid epidemic affects not only people who become addicted, but those who care about them. The song is based on a relationship that Bennefik was having with someone who developed a health problem and was prescribed painkillers, which unfortunately led to an addiction to opioids and other street drugs.
