Heaven is the brand new single from North Carolina pop-electronic duo Citizen Shade.
Citizen Shade has amassed a large social following and found their home on YouTube where their videos and collaborations have reached well past the coveted 10 million view mark. With a unique, smokey tone and remarkable range, Will Purgason’s vocals have drawn a comparison to the soul of John Legend and the conviction of Adele – distinguishing him as one of the best up-and-coming vocalists. Paired with the musical prowess of classically trained David Lezcano, the duo is in the process of crafting top level works.
The duo’s talent emerges on the track bringing harmonic vocals, a resounding drum cadence paired with a unique blend of organic and digital elements. Will Purgason, the lead singer of Citizen Shade said in an interview, “The heart of the song came out of the deep tragedy of a friend’s passing. In the song, we wanted to make clear the dichotomy between faith and doubt.”
