LA-based composer Death Hags shares her first music video and new single, “Earthbound”. IMPOSE premiered the video, praising the track for its “buoyant, bubbling cosmic energy”, and noting that Death Hags’ attention to detail “makes her music enveloping without being overwhelming as the warm electronics and her ethereal vocals hold sway.” About the track, Death Hags’ Lola Jean says: “Earthbound is the feeling of coming back to life. It’s that moment when you overcome grief to see the world with new eyes.”
Released via VEVO, the music video is an homage to the sci-fi cult classic The Man Who Fell to Earth, but unlike the character played by David Bowie in the film, the cosmonaut in the video rediscovers a connection to the earth and himself. Filmed on location in Greenpoint and Flushing, Queens, the video is directed by Brian J. Davis and produced by Emily Schultz.
