Los Angeles-based artist Luca Chesney gives us electro-pop with an artful and introspective edge. Raised a child of Christian missionaries in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, to then journey off to Sydney, New York and California, Luca has always turned to music to make sense of the new worlds she found herself in. As you listen to her earlier work you will hear sounds from an introspective underworld. During these years most of her writing came from melodies and lyrics heard in her dreams and recorded in the morning. Her evolution has surfaced her quickly which is apparent in her more recent release, “Something Brand New.” Check out the lyric video.
