James Daymond Evans (born March 5, 1994) Known professionally by his stage name Campaign, is an American hip hop recording artist. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. Evans first became involved in music listening to family member and national recording artist Gerald Alston. It was then Evans would first realize some of his many talents. He then would go on to teach himself how to play a series of instruments such as keyboard, guitar, and bass. Later, Evans would start producing and engineering for himself in the comfort of his home studio.
After releasing a series of underground singles, Campaign would later meet hip-hop guru Chris Gotti, brother of Irv Gotti and Founders of Murder Inc Records. He would then sign his first distribution deal through Gotti’s new digital distribution platform Add-Ventures Music. Through Add-Ventures Campaign immediately started working with vice president Leroy Perry better known as Gambino on his debut single titled,”Cash.” The animated Richmond Native has surpassed a lot of the other artist in his hometown after going on a 10 city Midwest tour with Add Ventures Music, as well as placing his latest video Directed By Dev Puhtel on Vevo. Campaign has been influenced by many genres of music however some familiar names would be artists, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Fetty Wap, Rae Sremmurd, Jay-z, Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi, Notorious BIG, Tupac, and many more.
