Serkeidian are a rock band based in Jersey, Channel Islands. Their sound blends alt-rock influences with a soulful vibe and bluesy, 60s edge – a mix of classic and modern performed with passion and
heart that has earned them a diverse and steadily-growing fanbase.
Serkeidian have gone from strength to strength since their beginnings in early 2015, finalising their lineup and refining their craft as songwriters and an unmissable live band. With this energy and ambition they headed into the studio with Jersey producer Wilson Nash to cut their first EP: ‘The Balance’.
The recordings showcase Serkeidian’s progressive and powerful sound. Marcus Harley’s compelling vocals are backed up by band performances laden with unforgettable hooks and cultured musicality. Leon Bouhaire’s bruising drums combine with ground-testing bass from Piotr Kobus to form the founda-tion over which guitars and keyboards slice and intertwine. Alex Pitt provides the understated foil to Matt McManus’ bluesy lead guitar, underscored by flashes of piano and synth.
Serkeidian’s sound is epitomised by first single ‘Fire’ which along with the full EP, hits online stores on Friday 2nd Nov, ranging from the brooding ‘Dotyk (Touch)’ to the pop-funk energy of ‘Give It Up’, seven tracks in all that are diverse in their scope but all unmistakeably Serkeidian.
