2EM connects with a higher energy when he writes almost like a monk in a meditative state. Through a life of gang violence, drug abuse, lust, heartbreak and an ashram in a far forest village that saved him and helped open his eyes. 2EM is often quoted saying “I would have ended it all a long time back but pac and em they saved me, now I’m just playing my role in this great design.” Today 2EM is just happy to be alive, awake enough to act for the world that needs him and his music.
